Class Get Together - Help! I Need to Lose 25 Pounds Fast!

And, yes’m this is about old friends  ... high school friends.   Matter of fact these old friends are so old that I’m not so sure I want to meet up with all of them again.  Terry always says he never wants to go to his class reunion because he doesn’t want to hang around with old people.  Of course, if you read it right, you’d realize that’s a joke.

I must admit there are few in that class that I’m still hanging around with and have been since about the 7th grade.  We’ve done a lot of traveling together over the years as these photos will tell.    We did have to let folks know when we were asked about traveling together …. in our motorhome …  that it may seat more people but only it accommodates two for sleeping.  Kids and grandkids are exempt from that rule though.  When we park the motorhome we may do more other types of travel again but for now we’re pretty happy doing what we’re doing even though some of friends just don’t understand.

Well, it’s not really a class reunion.  That one is several years off.  It seems some kids decided we needed to have a class get together this year.  I’m using the word kids loosely.  As a matter of fact, I’m using it very loosely.  I knew them when they were kids.  Most of them I’ve also known as they’ve grown older but they’re still kids.

It seems our class has dwindled from a graduating class of about 325 or something like that.  Every year the class gets smaller and smaller.  Perhaps, that’s the reason for the planned get togethers but there aren’t a lot of folks who have actually turned out for these events in the past.  Perhaps, 50 or so at the evening event.

This is my dilemma.  I need to loose about 25 pounds in the next month.  Anyone know a secret or a miracle drug – short of surgery?  Or, short of not eating out?  Or, short of actually going on a diet?

Actually, it’ll be fun.  I’ll just buy a really good girdle.  Do they sell those anymore?  Thank goodness  it’s not dress-up because I have no good dress-up stuff in our motorhome.  I’d have to go digging through the boxes in the storage shed.  And, the chance of doing that is about zero.  And, as it is anyway, I need to go shopping for clothes.  I hate to do that but you know as well as I do that the wardrobe of an RV'er probably wouldn't fit in too well in this type of shindig. 

The biggest problem with losing the weight is that I'm not quite ready to give up all those meals we eat in newly found restaurants.  That's part of our entertainment .... and, it shows.  You have to want to go on a diet to make it work.  I just don't want to  ... yet.

And, of course, I have a dozen more photos but I’d have to dig those out and I’m sure you aren’t interested in seeing them anyway but this should give you an idea that we’ve done a lot in the past.  Thus, I probably have no choice but to attend a get together with more old folks.  I guess you could say we’ve kind of grown old together.  The problem is we can't wear each other's clothes anymore.  I think they'll notice too.
