Pre-Departure Activities

Homecoming

I get plenty of exercise jumping to conclusion, pushing my luck and dodging deadlines.

The last few days have been busy doing all the things we wanted to do before we pulled out. And, of course, eating lots of food and just enjoying family time.

And, here’s Jordan again modeling the new dress she got for homecoming. The dance is in a couple of weeks.

After all the ice cream bars and other things that aren’t so good for him, Terry decided to get a little exercise. It had been a long time since he mowed a lawn. Guess what? He still knows how to do it!!

Ever watch Dr. Oz? He had a great idea for a very healthy and yummy snack the other day. For us it was a snack that carried over to dinner. It’s asparagus, parmesan cheese and a little olive oil. It was a very delicious food item that even was good for you.

Sabrina’s name may not be Gordon Ramsey but she sure knows how to put together some good food. Terry LOVES her homemade salsa so she wanted to be sure he had a large supply of two different kinds of it before we pulled out. We have plenty on board now but I’m not so sure that Terry would share with you.

Sunday was the day of her fabulous stroganoff. It was so good. Out went the diet and we all finished it off slurping every bite. As usual it was absolutely delicious. Then, we relaxed in front of the TV and watched a movie together. Well, we kind of watched it together. You know how it is when the teenagers get old enough to have boyfriends and girlfriends. After dinner Jordan took off cookingstroganoffwith Casey and Justin left with Sydnee. Hopefully, they’ll be around tomorrow morning so we can tell them “so long”.

We have an oil change to get today, a refrigerator to defrost and bungies to secure. The coach needs to be prepared for a few nights of boondocking and sleeping on the road. That’s just about it. Tomorrow we have an appointment with Camping World about 50 miles away.

Then, next stop … California border.

  3. I can't come up with a good song so just drive safe and we'll catch up with you in a couple of months. Jordan looks absolutely adorable in that dress.
