It is really (really, really) difficult to keep up a blog when you’re sitting still, comfortable and not doing much of interest
to anyone else but yourself. That’s actually what we’re up to. It doesn’t sound like much I know.
Remember doing this?
I’m sure most every RV’er experiences this once in a while. It seems we go, go, go and run, run, run most of the year. We love that lifestyle. Then, in late spring we turn the motorhome towards Washington and upon arrival everything seems to change.
We’ve been parked in our son’s driveway for about three weeks now. We can’t say it’s a cheap place to stay. Our cupboards are nearly bare. Justin and Jordan (grandkids) have eaten just about everything we’ve had. That’s actually a good thing though since we don’t have to worry about expiry dates on items. They also clean up the food items we bought on sale but never used. In addition, they relieve Terry of a lot of his soda.
All of us get together three of four nights a week (or is it five or six) to watch our favorite TV shows. Everyone seems to enjoy the same shows and love watching the New York feeds on Pacific Daylight time. You got that right … we all watch in the motorhome. It’s absolutely wonderful.
Some nights Sabrina has fixed dinner and some nights I have. We have rarely gone out to eat which is normally very, very strange for us. This time of year is family time. We love it. Even Duchess thinks she’s in Heaven with all the attention.
Things are too good and too comfortable. We need to get the wheels rolling, the dust-balls off the camera and the highway in our rear view mirror. Thus, we’re planning to be out of here by the end of the week … maybe. If we don’t leave now, we may never leave. Besides, my dad always used to say that after three days, company starts smelling like fish. Yesterday I detected a little salmon in the air. I’m not so sure if it was the neighbors barbecuing or if it was us.
You two could never smell like anything but fresh!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the time with the families. Good memories are wonderful!
You expressed what I am feeling exactly. We spent a month with our daughter, just relaxing and enjoying, not doing much. Now we are just waiting around to buy a new truck, and waiting for our new trailer. Nothing at all exciting, even to us! So it's hard to write my blog, but if I don't, people start to send me emails asking whats going on!!
