Tuesday we decided to unload a few more items from the motorhome and put them in our storage shed. After inputting our secret little gate code, we stopped at the first dumpster. The sound of air escaping from someplace caught our attention. At first it sounded like it was coming from the front but as I walked towards the back of the Jeep, the sound was even louder. Oh oh …. air was coming out and one of our back tires was going down. It was still okay to drive but slipping fast.
| Tire repaired at last! |
Instead of unloading the vehicle at the shed, we hightailed it out of there. It’s not that we were too far from anything but we weren’t in the center of anything either. Terry certainly didn’t want to change the tire if he didn’t have to.
The Shell station was about four or five miles down the road. Of course, as you might have guessed, we got stuck at two red lights and behind a construction truck. By the time we got to the station we still had a little air left in the tire but not much. However, there were no tire changing facilities so we just added more air, listened to it burst out and decided to hightail it the back way to the town’s brand new Wal-mart.
That didn’t work either. By the time we reached the road that would eventually run in front of the Wal-Mart, we discovered it was under construction and closed to eastbound traffic. Once more we checked the air level in the tire. It was back another seven or eight miles through the little town of Woodland to the freeway and the front entrance of Wal-Mart. Guess what? This Wal-Mart had no tire facilities!!
As we drove under the freeway and back towards town, we found a tire store. We were happy to give them our business. We were very happy to give them our business.
Terry didn’t have to change the tire. We didn’t have to call Coach-Net and stress was relieved.
Wednesday was moving day for brother. We planned to move brother into a different apartment. There wasn’t much to move but we had to get it done pretty fast since the American Idol season is almost over and I don’t want to miss the show. Go, Scotty, Go. However, Haley has certainly been coming on strong!
Thursday .... to Mt. St. Helens we go!
I would have called CoachNet. That's why we pay them, right?
ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to see American Idol for quite awhile. Shocked to see James was eliminated.
ReplyDeleteI was soooo unhappy when James was voted off. He has the most talent out of all of them. I really like Scotty. I must say I AM NOT a fan of Hayley. She needs an attitude adjustment.

ReplyDeletewow..do you think its time to get rid of that jeep?? Sure has given you a time! Glad its all fixed again. (I agree that it was a real shocker to see James go!)
ReplyDeleteHoly cow. What a mess trying to get the tire fixed. I would have been a little frantic by the time you found the tire store. I don't want Idol so no comment on that one.
