The grand finale was Friday night. High school is now part of Justin’s history. It is behind the 76 graduating seniors at Kalama High School. It was a small class. It’s a small town. My guess is that most of the town was at the event.
The celebration started Thursday night for the class and ended Saturday morning. The graduates were whisked away after the graduation ceremony Friday night to an unknown destination by bus and limo to party the night away.

With graduation over Saturday was moving day for us. Yippee! We got to move. It wasn’t a long move but just a little change of scenery. The Elks in Kelso will only allow you to stay in their RV park for 7 days regardless if the park is empty or not. We had to move.
The original plan was to move to the coast. Once again we changed those plans as we discovered that Tammi would be heading to Portland next week. Our reservations at the coast were canceled and we scrambled to find another place to stay. Friday was scouting day and Saturday was moving day. We moved 25 miles south and closer to Vancouver.
It sure feels good to be back with full hookups. We can finally take a shower when we want and use as much hot water as we choose. In addition, the microwave can even run when the hair dryer is going. It certainly feels good.
After getting hooked up at the park we took a little drive through the town of Ridgefield and checked out the local marina. We discovered a new place to launch the boat.
Then, it was off to the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge. We had often seen the sign off the freeway but never stopped. This time we did. The area is a haven for migrating birds. It is especially active during spring and fall. It was a beautiful day and we certainly enjoyed going through the estuary.
I so agree, after a couple of weeks with no hookups, or only electric, I love to pull into a park and take a really long shower with lots of hot water. Also nice to have a change of scenery. I'm ready for that. Even if it means no internet.
ReplyDeleteI have Hitch Itch right now. I love being in MA, but now that the end is here, I just want to get on the road already.
