There is no telling how many miles you will have to run while chasing a dream.
Sabrina has been practicing for this marathon for months! Way to go, girl!! Here she is in great form!
Where did I really leave off? This has been such a busy, busy week. We’ve had so much going on that I really haven’t had time to catch up on a blog with what we've been up to.
| Terry's Father's Day breakfast |
Terry’s had doctor appointments by the kazoo. Isn’t that a word? Well, either way, I know what I mean. Then, we had graduation activities, soccer games, out-of-town folks to entertain and even Father’s Day. Whee! I’m tired just thinking of it. However, that’s been the case but, perhaps, tomorrow we’ll finally be on the road for a while. Well, not too long. Another doctor’s appointment is scheduled for this Thursday too so wherever we go, we have to drive the Jeep back for it. This appointment is the summary of all the previous appointments.
| No, not from Burgerville but from Arawan's Thai Restaurant. |
We also stopped at Arawan’s Thai food in Vancouver. This is another place we really, really like. The waiter took our picture. It looked good in the little camera screen but was blurry when I loaded it on the computer. We stuffed ourselves with wonderful Thai cuisine just before we headed to the airport to drop her off for her trip to New Jersey. I always love uneventful trips. It wasn’t an uneventful trip fo
r her. Why do I say that? It’s because she was caught up in United’s computer glitch that grounded all their aircraft. The only good thing about it was that she was only on United from Portland to Denver. Her trip from Denver to Newark was on Continental. Thank goodness!
A parade was getting ready to get underway on Burnside in downtown Portland ….. right in front of the bookstore. I did find a parking spot on a one way street heading in the opposite direction of city center and the parade. Thank goodness for that otherwise I might have been stuck for hours I’m sure if I had to wait for some of the roads to be unblocked.
Our new Millenicom aircard arrived on Thursday. We’ve been
comparing the two we have now and it’s been interesting. There are differences and I’ll let you know about the comparison in a few days.
That’s it for now. You may think this is long but actually it's a very short summary of the last week. It’s been very busy. Tomorrow we’re heading north. Honest we are. As I’m writing this it’s Sunday night. I don’t have a clue where we’re going only that it’s north. Eventually, we might be at one of the Elks RV parks …. Bremerton, Port Townsend or Sequim. We were at the Bremerton Elks Park a couple of weeks ago just to check it out and there are a lot more things we want to do in the area. There are more ferries to ride on, beaches to see and lighthouses to discover. However, we probably won’t know which Elks RV park we'll be at until Friday when we actually head out from the park that we don’t know we’re going to tomorrow first. Back to that titled question, Where are we driving the motorhome on Monday?
PS – Oh .. I also finished my second quilt!
Where's a picture of the quilt? We have never been at a Burgerville hamburger or the In-N-Out. We will have to check those out. I know we have to wait for the Burgerville until we get up that way, but I do remember seeing In-N-Out.
ReplyDeleteI want to see the quilt, too.
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to check out Burgerville next time we're in the PNW.
Weaver, Don't go to In N Out unless you are willing to get hooked. That's now one of the places we quickly head for when we return to the southwest.
Who, I ask who? has had a White Spot hamburger in BC? The best, but alas, twice as much as In-n-out. We love In-n-out.
ReplyDeleteI think the expression is "up" the kazoo. LOL I third the wanting to see the quilt.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to summarize when you've been on the go as hard as you guys have been. Hope all the tests are turning out the way they are supposed to.
And we are going to have to agree to disagree with everybody else - we don't particularly care of In-N-Out.
Have fun today.
