If you can't see the bright side of life, polish the dull side.
Sunday night we had no idea where we were going on Monday. We just knew we were going. Monday morning rolled around and we still didn’t know where we were going. Ever been in that situation? We couldn’t be at two RV parks Monday night. Or, could we? Well, we did … kinda. We did a lot of driving just to end up only 106 miles north.

A couple of years ago we stayed several nights at the Lucky Eagle Casino’s RV park in Rochester, WA. As we clicked off the miles heading north, we finally decided that would be our destination. Well, we decided this because we knew it would have space available and had no clue about the availability of the other park we talked about that morning.

We remembered it being a pretty nice little park right at the casino. Well, things can certainly change in two years. Instead of driving right to the RV park, we had to drive around looking for it. It wasn’t in the same location as it was two years ago. The casino had built a brand new park. We knew that but we also figured it was at the casino. It wasn’t. It was a mile or two from the casino. We’ve stayed at a good number of casinos but never where we had to walk over a mile from their RV park to their slot machines.

No sooner had we gotten set up than we took a little drive to check on the availability of a second park. A phone call to the park didn’t give us any answers so off we went to check it out for ourselves.
| Here we are ... not a concrete parking lot for sure. |
You can probably guess what happened next and 129 miles later. It was 43 miles to park #2, 43 miles back to park #1 and another 43 miles to move the motorhome to park #2. In other words, it took us 235 miles to end up 106 miles north. Ever have days like that?

Well, we’re not moving tomorrow but we do have a couple things we want to see. Matter of fact, we’re not moving until Friday especially since we still need to make a trip back to Portland on Thursday for Terry’s doctor appointment. Do we know where we’re going Friday? Of course, not. I can guarantee you that it will only be to one park …. I hope.
