Watching Traffic Going By

The latest new dance craze is called, ‘The Politician’.  It’s two steps forward, one step backward and then a sidestep.

Above quote compliments of a book I recently came across titled, 100 Quotations to Make you Think.  There are many more to come.

We may be parked in a site with a gorgeous view but our internet leaves a lot to be desired.  Oh, we can get on but it is very, very slow and takes forever to go from one site to another or even send an email.  Thank goodness for my iPhone.  That’s what I’ve been using for email.

Most of the folks using this RV park are locals since few places really advertise it.  When we moved in there was only one other RV here.  The weekend is close, the weather forecast is fabulous, salmon and steelhead are being caught here and now the  park is almost full.

We still haven’t decided if we’re going to move for better internet.  I’m paying one night at a time.  In the meantime, we’ve been enjoying the waterfront view and watching the traffic go by.  Unlike being in town it’s so dark at night you can even see the stars.  Well, you can see them when the clouds go away.

A good internet connection can still be had by making a little trip into town …. ten miles away.  However, that’s not something we’re really fond of doing.

The view isn’t bad.  Is it?

Maybe tomorrow we’ll think about it.  Maybe we won’t.

I mentioned a while back that I had received a Nook for Mother’s Day. I never thought I wanted one.  However, I’m now hooked.  It really is like having a library with me every place I go.  In addition to fiction books, I have discovered it is handy for other books too.   One of the first thing I loaded on it was a  PDF copy of my  Elkdom Travel Guide.  Then, I added excel files in addition to a few photos and other PDF files.  Next I plan on adding the Western Mountain Guide.  It sure beats looking for all the reference material we have around here and it even fits in my purse!

  5. I get my free ebooks from ManyBooks.net. I will never again have to make a quick run out to buy a book because I finished my last one!

  6. Why a Nook instead of a Kindle? I keep debating with myself. Our internet worked last year at that park. Wonder what happened. Jim is snoring, birds are singing, girls are sleeping. All is good here.
